Betsy Reid

Consultant

Betsy Reid has over forty years of experience in the not-for-profit human services field, most recently as Vice President of Clinical Quality and Young Adult Services at Wayside Youth & Family Support Network in Framingham, MA. Through her thirty-four-year career at Wayside she held many senior management positions including Vice President of Residential and Day Services, Vice President of Clinical Services, and Quality Management Director. Over the last twenty years Betsy was responsible for delivering the annual training institute with well-known speakers on diversity, equity and inclusion and relevant clinical topics, and for the delivery of quality clinical care for the entire Wayside population. Betsy served on the executive training team which developed and trained emerging leaders and through her career has supervised and mentored many professionals. She was responsible for oversight of Wayside’s accreditation with the Council on Accreditation with Children and Families and led the agency to achieve exceptional accreditation status.
Betsy has served on several statewide committees and boards including maaps (Massachusetts Association of Special Education schools); Samaritans (board chair), suicide prevention; Association of Behavioral Health Compliance Corporate Compliance Committee (board chair); Children’s League Young Adult Coalition; the Governor’s Suicide Prevention Task Force; and the Department of Children and Families Caring Together Advisory Committees.
Betsy has presented at multiple state and national conferences on the topics of quality management, performance management, staff development, and clinical topics such as suicidality, substance abuse, and the use of motivational interviewing to engage youth and families.
Betsy is passionate about leadership development in the human services field and recently joined FMS to lead a Women’s Senior Leadership group in 2022.
